The Chamber's Mission is to recruit, engage and promote local businesses and tourism by delivering tangible resources and credible leadership.

On June 19th the Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber is hosting the Lake LBJ Links Classic (formally named the Kingsland Beautification Tournament). This golf tournament has been one of the more enjoyable and talked about tournaments every year. We’ve essentially kept the same format since it started in 2018, but this year we are taking it to the next level with over $60,000 in potential prizes, including 3 hole in one opportunities, catered breakfast and lunch, and many new games throughout the day. If you’ve sponsored or played in the past, we invite you back but spots are limited! As of this newsletter, we only have 7 teams slots available (and hole sponsorships include a team!). The link to sign up is below, we’ll see see you on the course!

Are you taking full advantage of your Chamber membership? When you share your events, job postings, and area announcements through your member tools, your business gains added exposure across the Chamber’s website, community calendar, directory, and promotional channels. These tools are designed to help members stay visible, reach more people, and keep the community informed.
To make it easier, we’ve created a short video and step-by-step slide directions to walk members through how to submit events, job postings, and area announcements directly through the Member InfoHub. This is one of the simplest ways to make your membership work harder for you.
As we move towards June, this matters even more. With our improved website, stronger social media presence, and growing digital reach, member-submitted events, jobs, and news have more opportunity than ever to be seen, shared, and promoted. Log in, share your updates, and let us help amplify them.

The Board Interest & Nomination Form allows applicants or nominators to share Chamber and community involvement, areas of experience, committee interests, availability, and a brief bio for consideration.

Your Expertise Can Help Keep Our Community Informed We’ve also added a new way for members to share helpful expertise with the community through member-submitted newsletter articles. This is designed for advice, education, and important information — not advertising. For example, LCRA has shared an article below about updates to their website that make it easier for residents and visitors to stay informed about flood safety. Have helpful information to share? Use this form to submit a member newsletter article for review.

You May Have Missed This — But Now Is the Time to Bookmark It
LCRA shared an important update in February about improvements to its flood information resources, and with storm season in mind, now is a good time for residents, businesses, and visitors to take a look.
LCRA’s redesigned flood information page brings together real-time lake levels, rainfall totals, Highland Lakes dam operations, floodgate information, forecast details, and safety resources in one mobile-friendly hub. The page was created to make critical information easier to find and understand when conditions are changing quickly.
Community members are encouraged to:
Visit and bookmark lcra.org/flood to view the new flood information page. Sign up for LCRA’s Flood Operations Notification Service, a free service that can call, text, and/or email when flood operations begin at dams along the Highland Lakes or Lake Bastrop.
Read the full LCRA article here to learn more about these updates and how they can help everyone stay better informed about flood safety.
