The Chamber's Mission is to recruit, engage and promote local businesses and tourism by delivering tangible resources and credible leadership.

September was a great example of what can happen when businesses and community come together.

Our Business After Hours Mixer provided an opportunity to introduce more of our community to Sharing the Harvest, learn about its work and plans for future growth, and bring together area businesses and community leaders for an evening of networking and connection.

We also had a fantastic time at Taste Highland Lakes! It was exciting to see visitors and residents connecting with local and regional businesses while enjoying great music, food, wine, beer and more. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success.

As we look ahead, I’m also excited about the continued growth and leadership of our Chamber. At our Annual Meeting on October 13 at 5:00 PM at the Kingsland Library, we will present four new director candidates for a vote by our membership. I encourage our members to join us as we look toward another year of strengthening our business community and promoting Kingsland and the Lake LBJ area.

Thank you to our members, volunteers, sponsors and community partners who continue to show up, get involved and help move our community forward!

Look forward to seeing you out in our community,
Andy Virdell
Board President

You helped Taste Highland Lakes more than DOUBLE!

This year, both attendance and event profit more than doubled, and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers—and everyone who chose to spend their Saturday with us.

And that success goes right back to work! Proceeds from Taste help us invest in next year’s event, programs and resources for our local businesses, and tourism marketing that brings more customers to our vendors and visitors to Kingsland and the Highland Lakes.

A huge shoutout to the Daniel Hopkins Band for bringing the perfect soundtrack to the day. They were amazing, and… Guess What?  THEY WILL BE BACK next year!

Did you hear this year's Golden Ticket winner was

GINA JENNINGS?!

Congrats Gina!

Speaking of next year… save the date for September 18, 2027! We heard you on the Texas heat, and we’re already getting creative about ways to add more cool-down opportunities while keeping everything you loved about Taste.

If you haven’t shared your feedback yet, we’d love to hear what you loved AND what we can make even better.
