The Chamber's Mission is to recruit, engage and promote local businesses and tourism by delivering tangible resources and credible leadership.

President's Perspective

Wow, what a busy and exciting time of year it is in Kingsland!

The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber kicked off the summer with a sold-out Annual Golf Tournament on June 19, and now we’re gearing up to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our great nation throughout this week and weekend. There’s no better place to celebrate the Fourth of July than right here on Lake LBJ.

As we move into July, I hope you’ll join us for our next Business After Hours Mixer on Wednesday, July 9, at the beautiful Valentine Lakeside on Lake LBJ. These events are always a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, community leaders, and friends.

I realize October seems like it’s a million miles away, but it will be here before we know it. This fall, we’ll hold the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and elect new members to our Board of Directors. We will have five board openings this year and are currently accepting nominations.

You can nominate yourself or someone you know who has a passion for serving our business community. Having served on the Chamber Board for the past eight years, I can honestly say it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. It has allowed me to build meaningful relationships, connect with fellow business owners, and play a role in helping our community grow and thrive. I cannot recommend the experience highly enough.

If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the Chamber Board, you can find the application link HERE.

I hope you all have a fantastic Fourth of July celebration. Please stay safe, enjoy time with family and friends, and don’t forget to wear those life jackets while enjoying our beautiful lake!

Happy Independence Day!

The Lake LBJ Links Classic was a sold-out success and a strong fundraiser for the Chamber, generating important revenue that will be reinvested into local business promotion, tourism promotion, member resources, and future programs that support our small business community. Just as importantly, a sold-out tournament creates value beyond the dollars raised by giving sponsors visibility, strengthening business relationships, welcoming new connections, and highlighting our local community. Survey feedback reflected strong momentum, with the tournament described as well attended, well organized, significantly improved, and supported by strong sponsor and player participation. Events like this help keep Kingsland and the Lake LBJ area top of mind as a place to visit, invest, shop, support, and do business.
