The Chamber's Mission is to recruit, engage and promote local businesses and tourism by delivering tangible resources and credible leadership.

I am lucky to call Kingsland home. I’ve come to Lake LBJ my entire life and have lived here full time 14 years.   I’m a member of the chamber board, a partner of Valentine Lakeside Lodge, and LCRA representative for the Highland Lakes. From multiple perspectives, I see firsthand how interconnected our water, businesses, schools, and community truly are.
This month’s newsletter highlights several ways you can become more involved. Our upcoming Community Conversations: Water Quality & Conservation Lunch & Learn will offer practical information from LCRA experts about protecting the water resources that support our homes, businesses, tourism, and quality of life. We are also extending the Chamber’s school supply drive through the event, giving attendees another opportunity to help local students prepare for the school year.
The Chamber is also accepting Board Interest & Nomination Forms from business and community leaders who are ready to take an active role in shaping our organization’s and community’s future.
I often hear “they should do something about …” or “I wish they would ….”   Guess what? YOU are THEY.
Whether you attend the Lunch & Learn, donate school supplies, consider board service, or encourage someone else to get involved, your participation helps strengthen the Kingsland/Lake LBJ community.
I hope you will take a few moments to explore this month’s newsletter and discover a meaningful way to connect, learn, and serve.

From the Executive Director

July has been full of connection, creativity, and momentum. At our recent mixer hosted by Valentine Lakeside, members enjoyed live music, networking, and a photo scavenger hunt that encouraged attendees to explore the property and discover some incredible photo opportunities. It was a great example of how hosting a Chamber event can showcase your business, tell your story, and create memorable experiences for fellow members.

We're also excited about the launch of the Chamber's new Instagram page @KingslandLBJChamber, giving us another platform to spotlight local businesses and share everything that makes the Highland Lakes special. Behind the scenes, we're putting the finishing touches on our 2027 Chamber calendar and piloting a new Coffee & Conversation series (morning won by a landslide on a facebook poll!). By swapping a few Lunch & Learns for morning networking events with brief educational sessions, we're hoping to create even more opportunities for members to connect, learn, and start their day inspired.

As you plan for the coming year, be sure to check the Chamber's online event calendar regularly for updates and opportunities to get involved. We've also included a 2027 event snapshot below. Save the image for a quick-reference guide to key Chamber events and networking opportunities throughout the year.

Did You Know? Taste Highland Lakes sponsors at the Entertainment Level and above receive reserved seating at the event, making it easy to enjoy the day while entertaining clients, employees, friends, or family.

And while you're planning ahead, if you'd like a food or beverage sampling booth, want to sell boutique or specialty items in one of our shopping vendor booths, or have a favorite winery, brewery, distillery, restaurant, food producer, or artisan you'd love to see discovered at the event, be sure to complete or share our Taste Highland Lakes Interest Form.

The earlier we hear from potential participants, the better we can create an exceptional event that showcases the very best of the Highland Lakes region.

As always, thank you for your support, ideas, and involvement. Together, we're building a stronger business community and creating meaningful opportunities for our members to grow and thrive.

Over the past four months, the Chamber and Visit Kingsland social channels earned nearly 286,000 organic views, added more than 500 new followers, and generated thousands of interactions—without paid advertising.

Visit Kingsland’s strong Instagram discovery is reaching people beyond those who already follow or know Kingsland, while the Chamber’s established Facebook audience continues to grow. Together, these channels are helping more people discover our members, local events, and the Kingsland community.

Now Accepting Board Interest & Nomination Forms

The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce is seeking engaged business and community leaders who are interested in helping guide the future of our Chamber, strengthen local businesses, support tourism and economic activity, and serve the Kingsland/Lake LBJ area.

Board service is a working leadership role. Board members are expected to actively participate in meetings, committee work, Chamber events, member outreach, and promotion of the Chamber’s mission. Nominees may self-nominate or be nominated by another Chamber member or community partner.

The Board Interest & Nomination Form allows applicants or nominators to share Chamber and community involvement, areas of experience, committee interests, availability, and a brief bio for consideration.

Interested in serving or know someone who would be a strong fit? Please complete this Board Interest & Nomination Form for review by Chamber leadership and the Nominating Committee.
